One of the famous Support programs, making us to stand out our competitions, is the “Hiring Program for Special Persons” Generally in Pakistan, many persons with disabilities are reduced to objects of pity, despite the fact that they are more than willing to support themselves.McDonald’s believe that Equal Employment Opportunities and non-discriminatory Work Environment can contribute to rehabilitation of persons with disabilities- and make them a productive member of community.
We contribute to rebuild their lives. McDonald’s is contributing to the rehabilitation of Special Persons by hiring and developing them at every McDonald’s restaurant in Pakistan and accentuate that: “Being disabled should not mean being disqualified from having access to every aspect of life.”
HOW WE STARTED TO CHANGE THE LIVES OF SPECIAL PERSONSIn 2006, a nonprofit organization, “Green Meadows” approached McDonald’s management for the placement of a

OUR JOURNEY - FROM BEGINNING TILL NOW
- McDonald’s Pakistan started this program with 8 special persons in 2006
- These children were certified and acknowledged for their remarkable achievements
- From 2006 till now we have trained and contributed towards the rehabilitation of more than 100 special persons
- One of McDonald’s Trained special persons, Usman Atiq, is now serving as Assistant Manager at Levis Outlet
- Aheed Kamran, a special Child, trained by McDonald’s is working as curator at Nairang Art Gallery
Aheed KamranAn upcoming artist, certified from NAQSH School of Arts, and selected member of Student Exchange Program of AIESEC. Can anyone believe that all these accomplishments are associated with Aheed Kamran and he is dyslexic? If we hadn’t mentioned here you wouldn’t have believed either. Aheed is one of the special persons who worked at McDonald’s and proved himself to be successful in every aspect of life.
Ali ShahIf Muhammad Ali Shah was asked to choose his looks, mental capacity and people to be surrounded by, then he would have opted for all that to be NORMAL. But that is our perception. It is our mental incapacity to understand what he wants to be. He was diagnosed with Down syndrome but McDonald’s is proud to be the part of his life.
